Today will be a slow day. Colin graduated from the Fire Academy yesterday (post to come) and today is his first day as a City of Fort Worth Firefighter!!!!!!!!!! He works until tomorrow morning so the kids and I are just taking it easy at home.While I was cleaning the kitchen this morning Zoe Scout was entertaining the boys by singing to them. They both think she hung the moon and any time she engages them in activity they are glued to her. I did get a couple of smiles from Cort and Jude once they discovered I was standing there.
If you look closely you will see Cort rubbing his right ear. This seems to be the universal Bate sign for "I am tired" (this was right before nap time). Zoe Scout does it, I do it, my dad does it, and my grandfather did it. Ain't it great to be a Bate!
It just so happens I was rubbing my left ear while reading your blog. It must be time for a nap. Coach
